Privacy Policy

Effective date: April 21, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Receivables Companion handles information when you use the mobile app and this website. The app is designed to be local-first: receivable records and related business data are stored on your device by default unless a feature clearly requires third-party processing.

1. Information we process

Depending on how you use the app, we and our service providers may process the following categories of information:

  • Information you enter into the app, such as receivable records, contacts, notes, schedules, reminders, and attachments.
  • Purchase and subscription information needed to provide in-app purchases and subscriptions through Apple.
  • Device and app information, such as device identifiers, operating system details, language, app version, and ad interaction data.
  • Advertising identifiers including IDFA, but only where access is permitted under Apple’s App Tracking Transparency framework and your device settings.
  • Other identifiers used by advertising or fraud-prevention partners, including device IDs or SDK-level identifiers required to request, measure, or limit ads.

2. Local-first storage

Receivables Companion is built so that core business records are stored locally on your device by default. That includes receivable items, schedules, payment history, reminder history, contacts, notes, and local attachment references. This version does not rely on a remote account system to operate its main workflow.

3. Why we use information

We use information to:

  • Provide the app’s receivables tracking, reminders, and reporting features.
  • Store and display the data you create inside the app.
  • Enable and manage in-app purchases and subscriptions.
  • Serve ads, measure ad performance, control ad frequency, prevent fraud, and support ad attribution where allowed.
  • Maintain, improve, and secure the app and related services.

4. Advertising and tracking disclosures

The app includes mobile advertising technologies from third-party partners, including AppLovin, Liftoff Monetize, Pangle, and Google AdMob. These SDKs may process device information, advertising identifiers, ad-request data, approximate location derived from IP, performance signals, and related ad-event data to deliver ads and support reporting, attribution, and fraud prevention.

Where required by Apple, access to IDFA depends on App Tracking Transparency permission. If you do not allow tracking, IDFA will not be available to the app and certain ad partners may fall back to non-IDFA signals or serve non-personalized advertising as permitted by their SDK behavior and applicable law.

5. In-app purchases and subscriptions

If you purchase a premium feature or subscription, billing is handled by Apple. We may receive status information needed to unlock entitlements, confirm an active subscription, restore purchases, respond to support requests, or manage the user experience around billing.

6. Third parties

The app may share or make available limited data to third parties when necessary to provide the following categories of services:

  • Apple, for in-app purchases, subscriptions, and platform-level permissions.
  • Advertising and monetization providers such as AppLovin, Liftoff Monetize, Pangle, and Google AdMob.
  • Analytics, anti-fraud, and infrastructure vendors if they are added to support app operations.

Each provider may process data under its own privacy policy and contractual role. Their data handling may vary by region, device settings, and the permissions you grant.

7. Your choices

  • You can manage tracking permission through the Apple App Tracking Transparency prompt and your iOS settings.
  • You can manage subscriptions and billing through your Apple ID subscription settings.
  • You can delete app data stored locally by removing content in the app or deleting the app from your device.

8. Retention

Locally stored records remain on your device until you edit, remove, or delete them. Third-party providers may retain data according to their own retention schedules, legal obligations, and fraud-prevention needs.

9. International transfers

If third-party advertising or infrastructure providers process data, that processing may occur in countries other than your own. Cross-border processing is handled under those providers’ own transfer mechanisms and applicable legal requirements.

10. Children’s privacy

Receivables Companion is not directed to children. Do not use the app to submit personal information about a child unless you are authorized to do so and allowed by applicable law.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
